Functional Analyst — Insurance

Functional Analyst with solid knowledge of Life and Non-Life Insurance to support system analysis, process improvement and delivery in a regulated, hybrid environment.

About the role

We are looking for a Functional Analyst with solid experience in the Insurance sector to join our team. You will work in a regulated, fast-paced environment, bridging business needs and technical teams to ensure solutions are well-defined, aligned and delivered with quality.

This is a role for someone who combines domain expertise with a structured, collaborative mindset — and who is energised by complex problems in regulated industries.


What you'll do

  • Analyse, document and validate functional requirements for Life and Non-Life Insurance systems
  • Bridge business stakeholders and technical teams, translating needs into clear functional specifications
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support testing phases: defining test scenarios, validating results, tracking defects
  • Produce clear and structured functional documentation (specifications, user stories, process flows)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment
  • Proactively flag risks, dependencies and blockers

What we're looking for

Experience & Knowledge

  • Proven functional knowledge in Life and/or Non-Life Insurance (products, processes, regulation)
  • Experience in functional analysis or business analysis roles
  • Familiarity with regulated environments and their requirements
  • Experience working in hybrid agile/waterfall delivery models

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High sense of ownership and accountability
  • Proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Comfortable working in demanding, regulated environments
  • Experience in hybrid agile/waterfall delivery models (valued)
